Essential Knowledge and Skills

The incumbent will be mainly responsible for the reliability and good functioning of machines, equipment, and systems.

More specifically, he or she will be a self-starter, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, program, and lead the preventative maintenance on mechanical components under his or her responsibility. The incumbent will also be involved in parts inventory, lead mechanical shutdowns, reporting, record keeping, housekeeping, and safety improvements.

Responsibilities

A focus on safety, performance and maintenance

Perform preventative maintenance using the company’s PM program.

Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment unique to precast concrete manufacturing.

Maintenance of stock and parts

Qualifications and requirements

Certified Industrial Mechanic or Millwright

CWB (Canadian welding Board) member will be an asset.

At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanics

Safety oriented

Excellent problems solving skills.

Excellent teamwork skills with self-starting abilities

Demonstrated skills in industrial mechanical (hydraulic and pneumatic), fabrication and welding.

Preferred Experience

Valid Millwright License - 433A
